At YourMedicalHome we (even our physicians) answer the phones. We provide very easy access by phone, e-mail or in the office. We are directly available by phone after hours. We review your health maintenance needs regularly and send yearly letters to all adult patients. We utilize electonric medical record/electronic prescribing. We care for our patients in the hospital or long term care facilities and perform house calls. Most importantly, we have the benefit of time; time to spend with you to understand your particular concerns and needs.
"Usual Care" is increasingly becoming identified with large buildings and well utilized waiting rooms, difficult phone access, difficulty seeing your own physician and the utilization of after hours call centers. In general, a "treadmill", take a number type of atmosphere. We have built a different type of practice: we are travelling a different path.
